Virtual Nerd~Review

Virtual Nerd is a unique on-line tutoring program focusing on helping teach math and science to grades 7-12.

Currently they offer Pre Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and Conceptual Physics, you can see the timeline below that shows when they plan on releasing new tutoring software.

My 10th Grader getting some tutoring in Algebra 2: Graphing Inequalities.

This program is really amazing in that the student can search for what he is trying to learn more about, and as he’s going through the lesson, if there is a step that he still doesn’t understand, he can click on it and get MORE information on that particular step. Here is an awesome video explaining their cool white board concept and how the program works more completely.

Banana Taffy claims it’s a great program, especially if you need help in a specific area: easy to understand, enjoyable to watch, cool! Smile

  1. I really liked how you included the screen shots in the review. We found the site to be useful as well. I think it would be wildly useful if one was using a program that didn't have lots of tutoring built right in.

    Love your background!

  2. I thought you would like to know that because Virtual Nerd ( has received such positive feedback and significant interest following your review of their online tutoring service, they are offering a special discount to homeschool parents. Homeschool parents can receive 50% off the 1 and 3 month subscription plans. Just enter the discount code: homeschooldeal when you sign up for service. That is a huge discount, and hurry - the offer is valid until March 31, 2011!
