Grace Card~Review and Giveaway!

This Give-Away is now OVER! Thanks!

I was given the opportunity to watch this amazing movie before it was released in stores (which is today by the way)! I didn’t really know what to expect, I just knew I was excited about watching another “Christian” movie. Some movies that have come out have been a little…uh…cheesy. You know what I mean, great story but unrealistic or bad acting. I am happy to say that this movie far surpassed my expectations.

From the publisher:

“Everything can change in an instant … and take a lifetime to unravel. When Mac McDonald loses his son in an accident, the ensuing 17 years of bitterness and pain erodes his love for his family and leaves him angry with God … and just about everyone else. Mac’s rage stonewalls his career in the police department and makes for a combustible situation when he’s partnered with Sam Wright, a rising star on the force—who happens to be a part-time pastor and a loving family man.

Can they somehow join forces to help one another when it’s impossible for either of them to look past their differences—especially the most obvious one? Every day, we have the opportunity to rebuild relationships and heal deep wounds by extending and receiving God’s grace. Offer THE GRACE CARD … and never underestimate the power of God’s love.”

My Opinion:

I wouldn’t show this movie to young children. 12 and up is my recommendation. If your children are used to watching TV, they probably won’t be fazed by it, but there is drug paraphernalia, some pretty dramatic scenes with a baby that was shot and some racial themes. The ending was amazing and had both my daughter and I crying!

I’m so happy to tell you that I will be able to give away a copy! You can keep it for a movie night, or save it for a Christmas gift, either way, you can’t go wrong!

You can visit this website to see the trailer. Exciting!

  1. We watched Soul Surfer this week and it is my new favorite Christian movie. It was just a great example of perseverance for my older kids (7 and 5) and a really cool example of a girl who finds her strength in the Lord. There is a really neat documentary on the disc too. I would love to win the giveaway!
    Thanks!

  4. OK, I tried to post THREE times last night and each time I wrote less! Looks like it still didn't work! I am persevering because I REALLY would like to win this one! We just watched the preview the other night (also the one for Courageous coming out September 30th-can't wait!) Speaking of perseverance, my current favorite movie is "The King's Speech". I love Colin Firth in it and all the other British actors. Story is funnny, heartwarming and made me cry. Lori from WA~
