This weeks Farmer’s Market Purchase-$20.00

Looks good! I haven't seen any acorn squash at our market yet. We're quite a bit late though I think. I can't wait to see what I get in my box this week, but if I get more green onions, I'm going to trade. We just can't use those up!

What are the little brown thing in the bag? Potatoes...turnips...I can't quite make them out. lol Looks yummy....and the squash made my mouth water a little bit.

That's so great that you're able to pick up fresh produce from a Farmer's Market. The nearest market is 3 hours from us. Ya, we're far from any farmland.

Jess~They are beets. About 5 pounds of dark red beets! YUM! We loved them peeled, sliced and steamed.
